David W. Regan, PT

David W. Regan, PT, is the therapist/owner of Physical Therapy Associates of Louisiana, Inc.
Mr. Regan grew up in the small communities of Egan, LA and Iota, LA; attended undergraduate college at University of Southwestern Louisiana, Lafayette, LA; and was then accepted into the second class of the newly formed Physical Therapy School at Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans, LA, School of Allied Health Professions in 1972 and graduated in 1974 in a class of 19 students. Clinical experience was varied and included physical rehab training at Oschner’s Foundation Hospital, Charity Hospital inpatient/outpatient and Burn Unit, Spinal Cord Center, Hotel Dieu Hospital, Children’s Hospital and U.S. Public Health Hospital in New Orleans and Carville, LA Hansen’s Disease/Leprosy Hospital. Summer work experience was gained at Veterans Hospital Gulfport and Biloxi, MS.
After graduation and passing the National PT Board exam, Mr. Regan began his professional work experience at Baton Rouge General Hospital and Dowell, McMains, Smith and Kennon Orthopedic Clinic, Baton Rouge, LA for two years. Mr. Regan and family then moved to Eunice, LA and began his work in Clinical Private Practice, including work at several small town hospitals including Moosa Memorial Hospital, Eunice, LA, Savoy Memorial Hospital, Mamou, LA, Humana Hospital Ville Platte and Oakdale, LA, Acadia-St. Landry Hospital, Church Point, LA. He established private-practice outpatient clinics in Eunice, LA and Kinder, LA prior to making a family and business move to Lake Charles, LA in 1988.
Physical Therapy of Lake Charles continues to operate currently at 611 W. College Street Lake Charles, LA, with Mr. Regan providing personalized care, offering over 30 years of clinical experience in physical therapy to his patients. Mr. Regan is a long-term member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Louisiana Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association and is a recognized KEY Assessment Specialist provider of KEY Functional Capacity Evaluations.
